I agree that you are going to pay more there than other tackle shops. It is fun to go in there and browse around. I always spend way to much. I just spent $130 there yesterday and all I went in there to but was a $50 tackle bag.

I'm glad you picked it up fast. I remember my first season of using a bait aster when I was 16. That was a long summer! On the bright side, I got really good at untangling line

I've had the best luck fishing at night. I use a dark color spinnerbaits.

I've been taking my 7 year old daughter to Jacomo lately. It gets pretty busy around the bank and there isn't a ton of options. James A Reed might be your best option. I would stay away from the kids pond because it is heavily fished. The last time I was there a family with three car loads showed up with like 30 poles and they only had like two kids.

Some of my most memorable fishing has been at night at the strip pits. I have had the most luck with strike kings midnight special spinnerbaits. It comes in red and black and blue and black.

Hi guys, I'm new to the forums. I fished Lake Jacomo today and didn't have as much luck as Bluebasser86 had last week. I got to the lake at 0530 and fished until 1230. I loaded up the kayak just as the rain started. I only managed one channel cat, one largemouth and a blue gill. I threw just about everything I had and ended up catching everything on bomber A.
