  1. I don't mean to be redundant because I am sure this has been posted elsewhere on the site, but I am really struggling to catch bass right now. For the last two weeks or so the average lows have been in the high thirties or low fourties, with the water temp in the mid to low 60's. I would assume this is the onset of fall and have begun to look shallow for bass. I have targeted grass but have not had much luck, one or two small dinks. I have tried everything, with no luck, but have gotten a few out deep 12-15 feet on a dropshot. Those came near grass, but I assumed that fall meant they went shallower with the baitfish, but those fish make me question that. What should I be throwing right now, but what I really want to know is where should I concentrate my efforts? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Alright thanks, I will give it a try this weekend.
  3. Hi everybody, I was planning on going fishing this weekend but don't know where to start looking. I have read many reports of them still being out on the deep weedlines, but some of the articles I have read recently have me thinking I should look in shallow coves for late summer/early fall bass, as the baitfish leave due to the thermocline, and also the cool august nights. Where do you think I should start, and where do you think I should expect to find the bass? Any help would be great, thanks in advance.
  4. Thank you RW this helped a lot. I have tried other presentations through the weeds but no texas rigged soft plastics, I will be sure to try it soon.
  5. I fish this this medium sized natural lake that is almost completely covered in weeds, but none of them mat on the surface. There is mostly hydrilla and milfoil in the lake and they grow within a foot of the surface, but the bottom is almost all covered in weeds. I have found some fish on the outside weedlines with a dropoff, but the most of the lake is those weeds which I think hold the majority of the fish. So my question is how would you fish those weeds? Thanks in advance for any help.
  6. Thanks Nashua Nev for the info, I will be sure to try there this weekend.
  7. Whenever I drive to Keene I drive by this lake called Howe Reservoir, and I would like to fish it, but cannot find any public boat launch near it to launch from. I was wondering if any of you have seen this lake and fished it before, or know where to launch from. I do know that the dublin rotary park is located right next to it but still dont know if thats open to the public, even though it looks like it leads down to the water. Thanks in advance for any information reguarding the topic. Below I tried to attach a link to a google maps image of it I don't know if it works. https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9162502,-72.1213988,1252m/data=!3m1!1e3
  8. I have the same problem. I have a sundolphin pro 9.4 and fishin buddy 110 and your right the side of the boat bends under the weight, I was thinking of cutting down two pieces of plywood and attaching them to the side of the boat where i want the fishfinder and just mounting it there. Any suggestions would be great though or if any one has any ideas.
