Welded V Riveted Bass Tracker
I have done days and days of research on whether I should pay the extra dough for the welded Grizzly model, or just buy the riveted wide model for around $600, new. I understand the welded boats are a little more durable, and in this case with the Trackers, I like the V hull design vs the flat bottom, but there is a big difference in price. Here is how I would be using the boat, with some additional thoughts. 1. Boat would be used almost 100% exclusively in freshwater. I also cant see a situation when it would sit in water, i.e. sit at a dock for more than a day or so. 2. I live by lakes that are no gas motors, so this boat would mostly be propelled by a trolling motor. Would a gas motor cause more stress on a rivet than a trolling motor would? 3. I would want a boat that is comfortable for myself, my old lady, and my pup. The welded Grizzly models are much wider, and seem more comfortable for everyone who may be traveling in the boat to move around. Thoughts? Let me know what else you all would need. Thanks!

Maryland Bass Fishing Now
I am pretty much still a newbie when it comes to bass fishing. I was wondering if anyone out there in Maryland had some tips for me. I have been going out to my local lake the past few nice days, but haven't even gotten a nibble. I have been using my main go to of Senko baits, in a dark color with some flakes. Am I using the wrong color since the water is so clear? Should I use something like white? I also was messing around with some new topwater frogs I just got from a buddy as a gift, with no luck. HELP PLEASE!

First Time Canoe Purchase
I am looking at purchasing my first canoe. I have been on Craigslist for a couple months now, but nobody seems to understand what the value of used equipment is (asking too much). At this point, I am looking at buying new. My budget is $750 or less, which has left me with the Saranac models or a Coleman. What are your thoughts on both, and is it really worth it to bump up to a better version of any canoe?

Rod & Reel For Crappie
Thanks for the info. I was looking at a St. Croix 5'4" rod for my crappie set up.

Rod & Reel For Crappie
What should I be looking for in a rod/reel setup, to be used exclusively for crappie? 4LB line cap for reel? What length rod? Thanks!

Soft Bait Storage
This is a question in regards to my soft baits, senkos, zoom, and roboworms. Do they go "stale" if I store them in something like a Plano organizer? Should you keep them sealed in their bags? I would so much prefer to keep them in an organizer but they would be exposed to a small amount of air, and I'm wondering if they will dry up? Is there a way to "re-moisten" them?

Truth About Cranks?
Ok, so I don't normally use cranks, but in the cooler seasons for me in MD, I enjoy using them in some of the lakes I fish, especially at the dam at Lake Linganore. My question is, how much does it matter regarding the quality/price? I want to expand my cranks, but as I said, I rarely use them, and don't really feel like spending $8/crank. What about a lot of baits, mostly cranks, such as the one below for sale? http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005F9GDVQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?qid=1410638695&sr=8-5π=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70 What's the downsides to cheap cranks???!

Reel Size
Thanks all for the advice. I went with a size 35 in the pflueger supreme xt, instead of the patriarch. Is the patriarch worth the extra $50?
-
Reel Size
My only real thought, and it could be a moot one, since I would rarely catch at fish heavier than 15 pounds where I fish with the tackle I use, but what if I want to start trying to catch some bigger game like striped bass that are found in some of these reservoirs and get to almost 30 pounds. You would say it could be wise to bump up to the next size of 8-10-12? My rod I got coming is an Abu Garcia 6'6" so I don't know if that changes any suggestions?

Reel Size
Yes spinning, gonna pick up the Pflueger patriarch. I'm comfortable with a spinning. Especially since I fish in tight spots and need to have something I can cast in those conditions.

Reel Size
I should add, that I fish exclusively for bass, using soft plastics, and sometimes spoons or cranks.
