yeah I'm not sure what exactly I am targeting but i just want to catch something haha. and below is the red fishing line i found. Also since I am a complete newbie to fishing what is the difference between "PowerPro® Braided Spectra® Fiber Micro Filament Line" and "Seaguar® Red Label™ Fluorocarbon Fishing Line" ? do I need both. and also would you recommend getting a Ugly Gx2 combo?

Hello, I am new to this forum and new to fishing. I have only fished once before and it was down in florida for about an hour (nothing to serious). I really enjoyed the expierence and would like to fish again but I have no idea what I should buy. I am from the NYC region and will plan on fishing around the Hudson River/Gravesend Bay area (If you google "Gravesend Bay" it will give come up. It's in Brooklyn). And my question was what type of fishing rod, bait, etc. should I buy. I am an absolute beginner and my knowledge in fishing is pretty much non-existent. So basically I just need some opinion on the Rod I should look into (Brand/Type of rod) and the bait or anything else I should invest in. Thank you, and if you have any questions that might help please do ask.
