I'm in Augusta still. About 15 minutes from Clarks Hill and the Savannah River.

I grew up fishing for bream, perch and crappie using live bait in the Savannah river, Brick Yard ponds and Clarks Hill lake in Augusta. That was many years ago and now I am hooked on trying to learn bass fishing. I have the basics as far as tackle and lures and have a few rods and reels (on the lower end of price and performance). I get to do most of my fishing from the bank so water access is limited. I've been reading articles and tips on here and have started using some but haven't had many hookups just yet. I actually lost a nice fish today from a bad knot on brand new line but I keep tying 'em on and trying again!
