Fished Table Rock this past weekend. Caught numbers in the 30s. All spots. Near Baxter. Drop shot in 45 foot of water. Fish suspended in trees at 25'. Tough fishing, but we got on 'em, and stayed on 'em.

I am certainly interested in this. Would like to sign team 'Cut Bait' up for the tourney! Should we just make reservations on our own?

So maybe I am fishing it wrong. I thought you were supposed to drag a ned rig, bouncing off the bottom... by "do-nothing" do you mean, no retrieve? Just suspend and wait? Like drop shot?

Going to Table Rock next week, and fishing around Baxter on Friday and Saturday. Love the ned rig, but I think I need to go to a 1/4 oz. on the 4th, the spots were already suspended at 25-30 foot, and my best shot on a smallie was main channel in the wind. I just can't keep the 1/8 oz on the bottom.. Otherwise, I will fish drop shot 1/4 oz for spots in the trees. Do you guys ever put on competitions through this forum. I have to admit, there is a lot more activity here that I anticipated. Would love to hook up and get a few pointers!

Does "your type of project" typically include cussing, distractions, random cleaning and organizing of boat stows, and minor electrocution? Because, if so, you should just come over. Ill supply the beer and anxiety! Seriously though, I am looking for a pro. Only because I have a 6 month old, and also am finishing a remodel on the kitchen... I have not had the deep cycle battery tested this year. It could be the issue, I guess. I will check that, and then see how far I want to chase this rabbit personally. After that, I might try this "Ray" from Lansing. I have tried US Boat Works, but they were a little pricy, and keep trying to convince me to trade in on a new rig...

Found an opportunity to fish some strip pits by Appleton City, MO. Slayed 'em on Saturday morning. 40+ and averages in the 2lb range. I will hit Mound City, and try Pleasanton, next though. Thanks for the heads up. Any advice on a good boat guy in KC? My motor runs like a banshee, but my electronics are on the fritz.
