Volunteer Fishing Instructors Needed The city of Layton Parks and Recreation Department is running a Fishing Club that begins at the end of August for youth ages 6-13. Currently this position is a volunteer position, but you can use the hours towards community service (Dedicated Hunter, fishing clubs, etc.). The fishing instructors must be able to pass a background check, have a good knowledge of fishing (bait, knot tying, casting, fishing etiquette, etc.), and enjoy teaching fishing to youth. The city will provide all materials needed as well as a manual to follow when teaching the class. Details for the classes are as follows: - Classes are held at the Andy Adams Community Fishery in East Layton - Classes run for six weeks from August 25th to October 3rd. - There are five classes, one on each night of the week (Monday - Friday). - There are 7 kids in each class. - Classes go for two hours each night. You can teach one class per week, all five classes per week, or a combination; whatever works for you, we just ask that you are dependable and communicate with us if you can't be there.
