285 is what's known as the perimeter it basically circles the city and the inner metro cities. Cumberland mall sits off of 285 on the west end of 285. Alatoona is not that far at all really, about 30 min in normal traffic, at 4:00pm on Friday is another story. If you want to live near Alatoona check out woodstock, kenneswaw, and canton areas for houses. I live in Newnan south of the city and I am about 45min from West Point. Both Alatoona and westpoint have good fishing. there are pros and cons to living in either side of the city, but ill never live north of Atlanta again. I hate traffic,

I'm always ready to do a little BASS fishing. I live in Senoia and have fished the places you named. I also fish the flint river, the Spalding county reservoirs, and other local places. Let me know next time your going out I will try and go with you, I am thinking of going tomorrow morning but have not really decided

Been reading lots of post and learned a lot so became a member. I reside in Newnan Ga. Avid competitive pistol and rifle shooter, shoot IPSC and IDPA. Grew up fishing catfish at Lake Of The Ozarks, just started BASS fishing a month or two ago. landed a nice large mouth today and is my biggest to date. The excitement and rush of the fight in that fish was exhilarating.
