  1. Point hunter yes I used a pedestal I had lying around and bolted to some marine grade project boardfrom homedepot the with was perfect for in laying. my floor is in 3 sections the front and middle I can move so I can swap the seat position if I have a 2nd person with me
  2. I second the endura max I have a 55 on my sun dolphin and it lasts all day I'm a big boy so is take a lot to move me. I went with the 42" shaft makes it a tone easier to manuver sitting and standing.
  3. I had the same question. From what I have seen on some other forums and the little I can find on Google it appears that you can either tie a short rope to it and or I have also seen the pole inserted into a piece of pvc that is attached to the boat. I read an article last night that suggested the pvc mount is the way to go that just tethering to it pulls the pole out of the ground. I'm building one this week and will be taking it out on the lake for the weekend. Will have more info this weekend.
  4. The clips have a peel and stick back. You have to lightly heat the plastic where you stick it and they adhere nicely.
  5. I mounted a pedestal to plywood and bought a seat at walmart
  6. Here are some photos of some of what I've done with my Dolphin. Included a pic of the clips I used to run my transducer wire and my new tackle storage.
  7. I have an 8ft dolphin with a 55 on the front with no problems. I mounted my transducer on the bottom of my rudder on the rear and ran the wire on the top of the rub rail with some clips from Home Depot and it works like a champ with my motor up front was worried about banging up the transducer to much. I can post some pics tonight if you'd like.
  8. Coach I had a originally put a casting deck on but I'm a big guy and didn't care for how it sat in the water. For my floor I used 1/4 pressure treated project boards from home depot and indoor/outdoor carpet, had to taper the ends to fit snug. But I like to stand when i'm fishing and it works very well. For rod holders I did the ol' pvc pipe homemade deal it's good when going out but a pain when casting. I could use a better way to store rods if anyone has any ideas.
  9. Here's a pic of my seat and floor setup coach
  10. I centerd pedestals in mine bolted them right to the floor I installed. Work awesome I have full 360 movement. And sit higher which is much more comfortable for me.

  13. Well took the boat out today for the first time everything was going great till we ran into some wind blew us into shallow weeds and we got stuck had be pulled out. Onna upgrade to a bigger motor thinking about a 55. However steering from the rear till that point np. Boat handled like a dream even with me and my son sat plenty high in the water very little roll if any eveb in the higher swells. All in all LOVE IT few small tweeks be perfect.

I built a small casting deck on the front that the battery box slids into being a big guy wanted to push the weight foward. Rail mounted my FF just installed my lights last night. Wanna see how zhe does on the water before I put a floor down so I just have layed in some carpet for now. Will post pictures as soon as I can.
