I have several ponds that have good bass,bluegill and crappie fishing in them. The problem is every way I've fished these ponds grass algae u name it tangles up my baits. These pond are really bad with grass algae silt looking grass. I have caught nice bass in some of the openings but I'm limited hear. Anyone have these problems on your ponds you fish. Could u guys give me any information on ways to make this problem better. Thanks in advance. I had thought about trying the drop shotting method but I would have to rig it at least 4 to 5 feet from the bottom to get it out of this stuff. I am totally new at bass fishing so I'm just asking and trying to learn as much as possible. Thanks in advance on any info on this matter.

Okay guys need a little advise on pond fishing. I joined some ponds that have really big bass in them. I have had good results in these ponds but I want to target some of the bigger bass. Could y'all give me some advise on baits and techniques for catching these bigger bass during this time of year. The ponds are 12 to 14 deep and have shallow water also. Water clarity is visibity of about two to three feet. I am wanting to learn to catch the bigger bass. I know they are no guarantee on catching the bigger bass but I want to give it a try. They have some structure but not a lot. Thanks in advance.

When using the zoom horny toad how do I need to present this bait. I have never fished them. I have some ponds and rivers lakes that I would like to learn how to fish with this bait. Also I'm asking any information on other choices as well. I have always asked this group for information on things and have got good feedback. I am trying to learn how to fish with frogs so I thought I would ask the group. Thank you and good fishing.

Had to share this I carried my little girl to this same pond and she told me she would show me how to catch em. She fishes a white fluke weightless and hammered the bass. She loves to fish. And she loves a white fluke.

Pond is about 5 acres and myself and one more guy fishes it. I have been catching bass for the last few months. It has came to a stand still. The biggest bass was 6.4 pounds. All fish was also released back to. I am new to bass fishing so I am just asking questions so I will know how to become a better bass fisher. Thanks again

Hello all, I am going to just ask the group about this situation that happened to me a few days ago. I fished a pond with no results. The fish was busting the water all over this pond. I thrower topwater baits big and small. I fished worms rigged several different ways. Most ever cast the bream would bite my worm in half and could not even get the bream to bite after that. When I did manage to catch a fish it was a catfish. I have caught nice bass and bream out of this pond on many trips. But now it just seems to be like this all the time. This pond is about 5 acres and has some good fishing in it. Now this has happened and I'm just trying to figure it out. What do y'all think I need to do. I really like to ask questions about bass fishing because I won't to learn. Also the bream are not a problem because I changed to crickets and worms and started catching bream. But mr bass is a different issue, still not catching them at all. Thanks in advance.

Hello all,I would like to ask the group about the split shot rig. I am going to be trying out this rig and was wondering if anyone could give me some information about what baits would best suit this rig. Also what weights would work best. Thanks in advance

I fish a pond that has structure in it and lots of grass on the bottom. Water is stained and I have fished lots of different baits. It took me 5 or 6 times to target them but finely I have found what they like. For this pond it was zoom motor oil worms rigged weightless. I can catch 6 or 7 pretty easy now but before I found what they liked it was very stressing. Good luck.

Hello I am fishing in a small river hard running water and lots of downed trees. I am new at fishing in the river. Topwater I've found what they seem to like. But with all the downed trees I am totally lost when it comes to under water fishing techniques. I had one gentleman tell they really liked scuppernog zoom mag 2 worms. Any advice on how to fish this type of structure would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance Bigboy 28438.
