  1. Biffle Bug on a 7/16oz hard head with a cotton ball dipped in JJ's Magic stuffed in the hollow cavity, and the tail dipped about a 1/4 up. Fish flat out nail it.
  2. I've been killing them on the Biffle Bug and hard head, and have been dipping a cotton ball into JJ's Magic and stuffing it in the hollow cavity in the bug. I've seen the Bug Juice on TW, but haven't really seen any widespread reviews on it or know anyone that actually uses it. So has anyone on hear tried it, and with what results? Thanks.

I usually fish lipless cranks this time of year, but I'm killing them on a Biffle bug and hard head.
  4. I use Red Label as main line treated with KVD all the time, and it works well. Not sure what others issues are, but the 12# is a darn good line.
  5. Been killing them on Biffle Bugs as of late, so I've been buying packs and packs of them here lately. Picking up Hard Heads and Fuzzy Beavers like crazy too. d**n Bait Monkey.
  6. The Type R isn't a leap from the regular Tatula. Tackle Tour couldn't even justify the extra money the Type R costs over the Tatula.
  7. People don't wanna be informed of inferior or low quality products? OK sheeple....smh
  8. I'm a righty and reel with my left. Your dominant hand should help control the fish.
  9. I have a 7'6 MH moderate fast Crucial that I LOVE. You can get them on clearance for around $100 now which is a steal.
  10. Why do people want to spend so much $ on handle knob bearings? They make little difference, if any, and you can go the avidrc.com and get some very nice bearings for $1 a piece. Smh.
  11. I unhook them, and slide them back in the water. Maybe a pic if it's a nice one, but that's it.
  12. I like tungsten due to the smaller size. The smaller the weight, the better the chance that I won't get snagged up where I fish.
  13. The fall and spring really messes with me when it comes time to slow down and drag the bottom with a jig or t rig. I tend to fish the t-rig or jig too fast and get skunked. You just gotta regain your technique.
  14. BassPro also price matches Wal Mart, so be sure to keep that in mind when buying. They match Academy as well. Got my Tatulas from BPS for $92 a piece shipped after I applied a $20 promo and had them price match Wal marts price on the reel.
  15. I don't know how much you're paying for your glasses, but no way I'd use "breath and a shirt" on my $250 Oakley's.
  16. Those expectations are sadly not realistic nowadays. I will say at my BPS most of the guys ARE pretty knowledgeable, but our BPS is in a town that is close to Douglas Lake which is a Bass Elite and PAA tourney lake, so we have quite a few fisherman out this way and some work at BPS. I agree that you SHOULD be able to rely on employees for help, you just shouldn't count on it.
  17. If your lenses are dusty rinse them off first! You don't wanna swirl that dust around on your lenses and scratch them. Mild dish soap or hand soap works to get off any sweat or oils. Use the INSIDE of your microfiber bag, NOT the outside. Most debris will accumulate on the outside of the cloth or bag if you wear Oakley like I do, so using the inside of the bag will minimize that debris from making it's way to your lenses.
  18. I don't rely on anyone to help me make my purchases, or rely on them for what they carry. I always do my own research before making any purchases. Bps is a retail store, and while it's a specialized store, anyone expecting their employees to be knowledgeable for what they get paid is crazy lol. This is the age of the "informed consumer".
  19. Tatula all day long. They can be had for around $90 shipped. No way I'd go PQ over the Tatula.
  20. Tatula. Doesn't get much better than that at it's price point, plus there are TONS of awesome upgrade parts for it. Best value out there IMO.
  21. They are not very good at all. It's all very basic stuff, and not very detailed. I have the successful techniques video. Very uninformative and OLD.
  22. The PQ is a good reel, but you can find a Tatula for near the price of a PQ these days.
