Justin I've caught several around that size in there so there is definitely plenty in there that size. I'm hoping one day I catch the big girl of them all!

Agreed gotta love the drag crying then seeing that monster jump, but then anxiety kicks in and pray he doesn't spit the hook!

She doesn't look big but she was heavy and again had my drag screaming

I need to get a new scale, just never think about when buying fishing gear

That second to last one doesn't look that big but she was making my drag whine like crazy and she weighed probably a good 4-5, she was pretty heavy!

So now it's officially fall and its cooled down cause of a pretty drastic cool front, but I'm still bringing them in, just a lot slower and nowhere near as many lol.

I live right by lake Monroe and St. John's.

In my pond we have some bluegill but I've noticed when I see a school of fish boiling the surface, they're talipia schools.

Waiting to catch these girls in a couple years when they reach 8+

I really enjoy going out on the pond late at night for bass fishing, but my question is what bait/lure to use? I have lures and baits that are successful in the same pond during the day and I have also tried black spinnerbaits, black lizards, buzzbait, top water torpedo, and even rat l trap, but I have only caught maybe 3 fish in all the times I've gone out at night. I know the bass are feeding cause I see them hitting food on top water but they don't seem to be at all interested in what I throw out. So my question is what should I use for late night? Keep in mind this pond has no top water structure other than shade from trees (which doesn't do much for nighttime)

I have very few days where I don't catch anything at all, but days where I only catch one all day is very common, but I look at it like if I catch only 1 fish the day was still a success.

So I started fishing the pond in my townhome complex little over a year ago not thinking anything great was in it (pond is only 5 years old) and to my surprise there are LOTS of healthy sized bass in it, as well as some nice tilapia. Here are some pics of common size bass from the pond.
