  1. Hey Tom! Dude its been an amazing spring for me, the jerkbait bite is out of control right now. A few guys are pulling in fish up to 7.4 pds. I got one over 5.8 last week. Fish seem like they are trying to move into spawning grounds, but are still staging off the drops. Still havent had a decent jig bite yet...
  2. I fished green lane from 2010 to 2013, that lake can be amazing at times. The smallmouth are the best part of that lake, with the right bait and presentation you can pick up 20 or so smallmouth in a days fishing. The place is loaded with largemouth over 4 pds as well, I miss fishing there but cant jusify going there and renting a boat when I own one already......Good luck and tight lines
  3. Hello All! I have been out a few times since St Patty's Day, the weather has been less than cooperative, with most days fishing in a strong NW/W wind and temps hanging in the low 50's. The fishing for me has been slow, with most of my fish caught being crappie and perch. Yestersday, I finally got into a few bass. Lost a nice fish on a slow rolled crankbait in deep water that was probably over 4. Hopefully this weather breaks and the fishing picks up. The water temperature in Sciver is 42 degrees, and my last time out in Manor its was 48 haha. Guess the spawn will be taking place in June at this pace! The guys over BCAC don't seem to be having any difficulty boating fish. They had a decent bag on the 29th tournament. Hope to see you guys out there soon enough, will be out Saturday for a Lowrance Sonar day!
  4. Alright Alright! Welcome Spring 2015! Shrink wrap is off and some new electronics installed! I was up at the club a few times this winter, ice fishing was fun but cold. Plenty of open water to be seen on Manor. Will be on the lake this weekend, weather and conditions permitting! I hope to see you guys out there Gerry C!
  5. Nice! I keep missing the warm days. Had time Saturday but temperature never got above 35 hahaha. Was not doing that again, I froze with winds out of the ssw at 14mphs on Tuesday. I slaughtered perch up to 3 pds on jigs tipped with Brinkman minnows and blade baits. I lost a really decent fish on 2pd test, fought it for ten minutes and never even seen it. No bass for a few weeks, but really not fishing hard for them. I think I'm going to shrink wrap the boat, got some snow on my tarp and don't wanna tear a hole in it. Hope everyone has a good season. Next year, I'll have a garage and I'll fish till it freezes haha
  6. Hello Gents, Anyone been out on the lakes lately, I took a few weeks off becuase of work. I was thinking of heading out for some pike action on sciver, anyone been having any luck in Morrisville or Manor. I would think the walleye would be active with the cold water. Thanks for any input Gerry C
  7. Got out this Saturday and Sunday, fished from 1600 to 1800 Saturday and found a nice school of walleye's, landed one that was over 8pd's. Today I was out from 0800 till 1500. Landed two over 4pd's and a couple dinks. The numbers are down from years past, but the quality of the fish are excellent
  8. Tom! When you fish those luck craft pointer's in Sciver are you running those parallel along the banks on wind blown banks? I have done really well with those in the spring in Manor, however I have little to no luck on those in Sciver. I have little confidence with jerkbaits in Sciver due to the rapid drop along the shorelines, I am heading out this weekend for a few hours. on Saturday and maybe the afternoon on Sunday with the wife. if you guys see a Red Tracker and a bearded american male with a bandana come over and say Hi! haha. Also has anyone had the testicular fortitude to toss the 10XD by strike king yet? I purchased a few from Bass Pro, now I just need a rod that can cast a 2.4 oz lure haha. Tight Lines Guys!
  9. Awesome few hrs on sciver yesterday, caught five bass in two hours. Lost a large northern at the boat. Fish are still staging for me, but bite is solid on deep humps. Anyone having luck fishing banks, getting tired slinging cranks all day!
  10. Didn't make it out yesterday, going to go this afternoon. I'm running out to Harrisburg for my trailer, may hit nockamixon on the way home.
  11. What end of the lake where you at, it was a Ghost town out there today.
  12. Lets just say I worked for it, took me awhile to locate a productive hump but, landed a 5pdr and a 4pdr. I tried jigging and dropshotting but fish wanted the crankbaits. The fish where just swiping at the baits, wish I got out yesterday prior to this front
  13. Ill be out both days, was out yesterday fishing humps. Bass are still staging in 10 to 15 ft. Did well running cranks and dropshoting.
  14. Is Beltzville a largemouth lake or are their smallmouth in there as well
  15. Basscat are you going to make a run down there in the next few weeks. I would be interested in following you down! If not, what ramp would you recommend launching, and is it safe running or are rocks a serious hazard. Thanks for your input Gerry C!
  16. I really want to take a ride up to Raystown for a weekend, I haven't fished there since 2004, but I remember the fishing being excellent
  17. Cool! I hear good things and bad things about Beltzville. What about the Susky Flats? I hear people do decent down there....
  18. Hey Guys, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on local spots to fish. I live in Northeast Philadelphia, and have fished Marsh Creek in the past. I'm looking for lakes or rivers without engine restrictions. Any suggestions are appreciated!
  19. Was out deep, still nothing up on the banks. Spent about an hour flipping wood. Does anyone know where you can get an alignment for your boat trailer in the Philadelphia region? My boat is less than a year old, and my outer tread is gone on my back tires. I suspect under inflation, but I just want to be sure and check the alignment as well. The dealer told me 35 psi would be fine but I'm reading 45 to 50 psi per tire now online! My tires are rated to 50psi cold. Anyone with any input would be greatly appreciated!
  20. Bite was decent today from 1500 to 1800. I found a large school of perch, that where being followed around by some bass. Managed to get five on the day, lost a monster smallmouth, somehow it managed to toss my spro back after jumping three feet in the air!
  21. Tom, When you wacky rig senko's are you going weightless or using the VMC peg weights? I have had decent luck on manor with wacky rigs, never tried this in Sciver. I'm going to head out around 12 today and try fishing some humps anyone have any recommendations for depth? I have been fishing from 12 ft to 24 ft recently. I'm going to rig up a Carolina rig today for a change of pace
  22. Funny thing about Manor is once you locate the fish you can POUND them. In 2004-2005, I had days of 30 plus bass up to 4pds. This year the most I had in a day there was 10 or so. I think the pressure has caught up with the lake a lot . I find myself dropping down too 4inch finesse worms in manor during the summer. I'm hoping the transition to the fall bite occurs soon, these fish need to start eating!
  23. Went out last night 1630 to 1930. Conditions where perfect, water temperature was 73, light winds out of SSW. Fished jigs from 10 to 24 ft. Shad are out in full force, however no topwater action. This was the first day I was skunked on bass this year, switched over to ultralight and boated some nontarget fish. Has anyone been having success fishing humps?
  24. Good read Nick, I'VE been focusing on boat control staying right on the drops, Saturday this worked for five fish on jigs. I watched a guy fish 100 yards away and boat five decent bass in ten minutes. Fish still seem deep, most of mine are still being caught in 14plus
