I agree, bigger is definitely better. Unfortunately I was looking at the 859 & the Helix side by side, BIG difference. Dollar wise I could swing the extra for the 859 but not the 899

Thanks. Part of me kinda new that. The other part (cheapskate) of me was hoping it was possible. Not much out there for info on the 859. Man I was really disappointed in the size of the Helix.

Saw the Helix 5 in person today. Not what I was hoping for. Canceling my order. I'm wondering if the 859 has SI capabilities. Change the transducer later.

I have a few Powell Max rods & I love em. I'm confident you wouldn't be disappointed.

I used to be a die hard Mono guy for cranking. I fish CB's a lot & since I switched to Fluorocarbon I will never go back to Mono. IMO I think the positives out weigh the negatives. Better feel, abrasion resistance & for deep cranking you defiantly get the bait deeper, no doubt about it Just my 2 cents.

I would agree with rippin-lips. I own a couple Bucoo's & the 7' M is definitely like a ML. I use it for small CB & JB. I will add that they are very sensitive & lite

When I ordered it the guy told me that the KVD was B/O until mid February but the regular SI was the end of January. If you read closely, there website says "Preorder". I don't think there's more bang for your buck than this unit. worth the wait IMO

I bought the KVD verzion. Every dollar counts right. Extra money to buy more stuff i dont need. LOL

I just purchased my Helix SI this morning. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I purchased it from Boaters Land. (AKA SJK products) I got a great deal BUT I won't see it until mid February. Anybody ever purchase anything from this company?

The Elite 7 to me is a nice unit but has had a few glitches. Screen freezes is a big one. My buddy has 1 and he has never had an issue, he loves it, He fishes A LOT! ! Good luck.
