What length and action was the Twilite rod? I do use braid for pretty much everything, but my applications are almost identical to Okeechobee, which is where Halo Rods come from.

Do yourself a huge favor and look at Halo Fishing Rods. I've seen a few bad reviews, but personally use mine almost ecstasy'll everyday, and it is the lightest and finest piece of equipment I've ever held. You can purchase a rod from their Daylite series for $80, if not cheaper. A rod with the same properties would cost you tons more.
