  1. Good to hear the alley is biting!
  2. Baseball season started for me about a month ago and haven't had any time to go out fishing. God willing going next week during spring break. How are the water levels and the bite??
  3. Nice fish!! That coloration on the mouth is from something they're eating in your area I'm guessing??? South florida fish don't generally have that!
  4. Hello guys! This is my first time fishing outside of Florida. Anybody have any tips or spot recommendations? Any help will be appreciated!! Thanks guys
  5. Just wondering why are these baits so expensive??
  6. If you come down to the everglades, when the water levels drop.. Fish will stack up in the canals.. Believe me 150+ fish between a couple men on a slow day. Water levels drop around 2 months or so from now
  7. I like to stay on the bigger side on most of my lures.most of the time I fish it's out in the glades and the bass out there have a serious case of Napoleon complex.. Lol
  8. Recently had this same situation in south Florida. Outboard was in the mechanic so I went out to a golf course pond which usually produces big fish. Seeing big fish all over the place. After an hour of no fish most fishermen would down size lures, I normally would do that also but this time I tied the biggest fluke I had the 7 inch magnum weightless... I think I could've caught every fish in that pond.. Ended the day with a lot of fish and even more questions. I wondered why they would hit the bigger presentation if they were so sluggish and lethargic to begin with.
  9. I like to fish worms when Im in tight to the bank with light grass. I throw the lizard into land and work it back to the boat
  10. I just bought 3 packs from the walmart in my neighborhood on the clearance rack.. 1.98 per pack
  11. Check walmart!! They sell them for a 1$!!!!
  12. Alright, thanks guys I will definitely look into what you guys recommended
  13. Hello guys, I have a 15 horsepower Yamaha, I think it's from the 90s. Run great, haven't had a problem yet thank god(just a broken pull rope). Just wondering if anybody could give me some tips on how to make sure it stays that way and maybe a first aid kit to fix common problems. I do a lot of fishing in very remote parts of the everglades in Florida and it wouldn't be the first time I've had to spend a night out there due to mechanical failures. Thanks again
  14. Yup capt'n shane procell would be the way to go. I went on a charter with him last year. Great experience, good times!!
  15. Big cypress is beautiful
  16. It's pretty cool out there man. The scenery is enough to be able to call it a "good day" the fish are just a bonus. If you ever wanna take a run out there, shoot me a PM! My tin wouldn't be too hard to carry over the weirs when the water level drop!
  17. Video was too long but I took a screenshot.
  18. I'll link you guys to a video that I took yesterday crossing the weirs in my jon boat.. I was with my mom and I didn't want her getting out so I had her sit all the way in the bow and I dragged it all the way through. Luckily didn't run into anything dangerous..
  19. Goodmorning, fished out there yesterday (Sunday) had a real good day. Took my mom out and she caught a couple of her own. We had to sit all the way in the bow of my boat to keep the prop from scratching the bottom on the weirs! Lots of small fish and 3 fish over 3.5lbs, fished weightless flukes all day. I just wanna know how I'm gonna get passed the weirs in no water at all....
  20. A buddy of mine caught his biggest helping a friend get a knot out of his bait caster.. He threw his crank bait over board and began taking line out and after 3 minutes or so the rod almost flew in!! He thought he snagged bottom until the "bottom" started moving away! Ended up being a 71/2lb largemouth
  21. Hello guys! Went out this afternoon to little 67, nice day, a bit cool. Bite was not out of this world but it did not turn off. Big ez's swimming real fast on the surface was getting me the most smacks. Although there were some idiots shooting a semi automatic ar15 towards the little 67 canal. They were standing a little ways past the gate on the levee by l67. I was waving to them with my rod to see if I could catch their attention but apparently failed as we could hear bullets hitting the sawgrass about a 100 yards away
  22. I think maybe if the sun hit for a while it would. Dont take my word for it though, not to sure
  23. do you know the depth at the weirs at its lowest?
  24. Alrighty, I don't think I'll have a problem thank you!
  25. Captain shane, Yeah my mom passed down her SUV to pull my boat! Yeah that was a real fun time thanks again capt'n, must repeat some time! I'm gonna go out there this weekend, is the thin canal running along the 41 wide enough to navigate?
