Thanks I am glad i bought the right lures. I just thought it was weird that I didn't even get a nibble or a small fish. I guess I will have to try more in a couple months when it gets warmer.

Hey guys new to freshwater. Took my boat out on 1/5/14 to Blue lagoon in Miami Fl, did plenty of research on what i needed to look for and got some lures. Attached a picture. Read this is the top spot for fishing peacocks and other fish. Ok so I dont know too much about lures, the one on top goes about 1 foot under the water, and the one on the bottom skips on top of the water. I was there at 11AM for about 3 hours going to different spots that would have fish and did not get a single bite with either lure, not even a nibble. Am I doing something wrong? is it just because of the time of year?
