    What part of NY? If you're going to be in the Hudson Valley, consider renting a rowboat and going onto Kensico Reservoir, or any other reservoir in the Hudson Valley. Fish are usually starting to get active around that time as it is Southern NY and warms up a bit sooner. Also, if you're willing to make the drive to CT, go to Squantz Pond/Candlewood Lake. Great SM and LM fishery with awesome topwater action. Hope this helps. Lemme know if you have other questions about the area.
