Boat Plug
WIGuide, you were correct. It finally warmed up to 50 yesterday. I got it to twist loose finally. It appeared as though the plastic that goes inside the hull was frozen inside the water that was left. I would like to take that plug out and use a twist or snap style but Im going to go with the assumption that the adhesive is still holding strong.

That is the issue though. The plug isnt unscrewing but just a small amount. Im not sure if its frozen or what.

Boat Plug
Hi guys, First off, this is a dumb question. Ive searched for the answer but cant locate it. I bought a 2003 Stratos 185 a couple of weeks ago. While plugging in the on board charger, I noticed a small amount of water near the battery trays. I went to pull the plug to drain it but Im unfamiliar with the type of plug this boat has. After researching it, I believe it is this one: http://www.thmarine.com/products/Aeration-and-Plumbing/Drain-Fittings/Transom-Drain-Plugs/Drain-Plug. Im used to twist and snap lock plugs. My problem is this.... I cant get the plug to unscrew enough to let all of the water out. Ive unscrewed it about half a turn but it appears that It should come detached from the female end more than it is. I live in Tennessee and today has been the first day above freezing in about a week. I want to remove the plug but I dont want to break it. Does anyone out there have a similar plug that could lend some advice. Thanks in advance!

Hello From Tennessee
Hello all, I have been browsing around the forum since my dad and I recently decided to get another boat. My last fishing stint was about 3-4 years ago when I purchased a 94 Skeeter while in college. During that time I became very busy with school and work so I decided to sell my boat. Growing up, my dad fished alot of tournaments so I guess thats when I took a liking to it. I used to fish alot on douglas and cherokee but movd to that little city in northeast tennesee with a well known race track. I currently work as a police officer there. I look forward to interacting on the forums while learning about different gear, techniques, etc.
