Winching a trailer into a garage(??)
;D Depending on the size of your lawn tractor you can put a ball on the back and use that to back our boat in. I use my lawn tractor to get my ATV trailer up the hill and around the back of the house. It spins a lot less then my truck.

Wood sealer ?
I'm just about ready to start treating the floor, decking, and frame work of my rebuild and have a few questions. I'm wondering if anyone has every used the Armoral (SP) wood sealer and if you prefer it over the Thompson's water seal? Secondly, a coworker said that he hear on a fishing show several years ago to only treat the top side of the wood to allow it to breath. Would this apply to this type of sealer or only the epoxy or fiberglass resin sealers? Has anyone else every heard of this? The boat is garage kept when not in use if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.

"Redneck" Foot Control Recess - Now with Pics
I'm in the middle of redoing my mid 80's Fish & Ski to make it more fishing friendly and found a great, and cheap way to get a nice control recess. I found a stainless steel 2 bowl sink at my local surplus store for $10. I cut that in half to get a single bowl and then cut a slot for the cables and it seems like it will be perfect. I will post some pics as I get into the overall rebuild. This was a last minute thing as I was just going to add a larger casting deck but found out the previous owner just put new plywood flooring over the old rotted stuff so it's now a complete build. I didn't think to take before pictures but plan to take them of the complete rebuild. Just thought some of you might want to go this route rather then pay the $130+ for the prefabs.

1st post here, wish it was on a happier note
Until recently I would just clip the line as close to the hook as possible and let the fish swim away if they were not bleeding. My fishing partner told me it is better to actually cut the hook as close to the gullet as possible becuase fish can rust out a hook in 2 days with no ill effects. I now carry side cutters in my bag for just such a situation, only once this year thank goodness. I had not heard of this before. Can anyone cast some light on if this is true or not? I truely hate when a fish is gut hooked but luckily it only happens few times a year. ;)I'm like some of the other guys. I do a lot of swingin' and missin'. ;D

24v ? from Newb
Good Morning All. I'm upgrading from a 12v transom mount to a 24v foot control bow mount (Arriving today from Cabelas ) I have a stupid question about charging the batteries. I have a portable charger and need to know if I need to remove the jumper cable (+ to -) between the batteries when I charge? I'm thinking I don't but I don't want to cause any damage. I only plan to charge 1 battery at a time until I can get an on board unit. I've also been lookign at some of the boat conversions that members have done and I must say that there are some real craftsman on this site. Has anyone ever converted an old Fish N Ski into a full out bass boat? That's my plan for this winter. I want it to function for small local tournaments and also something the wife and kids will fit on to worm fish. Thanks in Advance. Hope I don;t become too much of a pain in the butt. Wildstreak30
