Now I understand why Brian fishes Lone Star every night. My buddy and i went there fishing for wiper and caught a good amount but they were all really small. They were schooling on the surface which was fun. We decided to catch some bait for catfish hoping to get into some channel cats. The bank fishermen were tearing them up. We only got a few in the boat but they were definitely biting. Before we left, i made my buddy go down the bank so i can flip. Ended up catching 3 studs weighing 3lb 5ounces, 4lb 5ounces, and 3lb 11ounces (Flathead weighed 13lb 12ounces). Wish i was targeting bass the whole day. Someone needs to show me how to upload pictures with my phone! I should not have to use a computer every time. The process is almost not worth posting for me lol.

Went to Shawnee Mission Park yesterday morning for a couple hours with Micah. Caught around 10 fish. One went 20.5 inches (he forgot his scale but i bet it went 5lbs). Definitely a spawner.

Decided to go to kill creek Saturday morning to catch whatever bites. When I got there at 1030, there was easily over 50 bank fisherman and 5 boats. Pretty packed for that little lake. Decided to walk and talk to see how everyone was doing. The majority of the people I talked to had a stringer of trout. So I grabbed my rod and one rooster tail since that is the only lure I have that I heard catch trout. I walked the dam for an hour and ended up catching 4 trout. Man, they stock the trout good there. I would say they were 2 lbers.

Hey guys, new member here! I have been reading your posts for a while now and hope to start contributing. Spring, though my favorite time of the year to fish, is hard for me to get out because I coach baseball. I normally get out once or twice a week in the summer though. Being a school teacher definitely has its perks. I am hoping to get out couple times next week for spring break and I was wondering if you guys have any updates on the trout fishing at kill creek or smp? I was told they stock trout every spring there and I live 5 minutes away from kill creek. I normally don't target trout but I thought I would give it a shot.
