There are bass in the lake. Caught them early in the season on small jerkbaits. Haven't fished it since February though.

Going to table rock this weekend! Staying near shell knob, any thoughts on what to focus on? What about swimbaits, right time of year? ?

I fish prairie lee fairly regularly. Was out last Saturday testing a new prop on my boat. Fished for a couple of hours, mostly a rig and jerkbait. NADA as in no bites. Oh well, the prop worked well.

Sorry I missed the dinner Saturday, too much holidays I guess. Anyway, any discussion of friendly tournaments scheduled this year? And, I'm three months away from retirement and have a pretty flexible schedule for the next couple of months. If you want a fishing partner, let me know!

Do you guys mind if a newby joins you on Jan 2? I follow your trips here on bass resource and will have more time to fish in 2016, looking for a few more guys to go with and places to try out.

Thanks for the help on melvern conditions best for my boat!

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Planning to hit melvern soon. Concerned a little about wind. I fish out of a lowe stinger 160, 16 foot long modified V bottom. When I check the weather, what should I definitely avoid (about a 90 mile drive and would hate to be kept off the water by waves). Is there a particular wind direction and speed that I should look for somewhere else to fish.

Fished cedar valley this morning. Tough day overall. First hour and a half, tried top waters and spinnerbaits. Nothing. Then jigs and shakes head. Nothing. Then the "Ned". Caught six small bass, two decent sized drum and six or so perch of some type. Water temp 79. Met another guy there and had about the same results. Next trip to Kansas I'm going to melvern!

And for the next 5minutes you can get twice the fishing reports for free (shipping and handling extra). This sounds like my kind of place.

New to this website but followed a few of the stories here and am Jealous! You guys seem to really get into the fish. Looking for some new opportunities and am planning to try Cedar Valley. Got info from a couple of websites but none are really clear where the boat ramps are. Can you give me a few markers that will help me find them? Fishing tips are welcome too! Thanks

This is a question for blue baser. I saw that you have a garmin 73v depth finder. It's in my price range and wondered what drove you to get the garmin? Also does it have sidesscan? Appreciate your thoughts!
