Dobyns Savvy Or Phenix Maxim Spinning...go.
Can't decide between these two rods. Will be used mainly for light Carolina rigging and wacky worming. Currently have Fenwick elite tech smallmouth rod for this that I love, but want variety. Like Savvy mainly due to price, but are they equivalent rods? Had to find much info and reviews on Phenix rods.

Pa Guys. Wilhelm, Arthur, Shenango, High Point, Cranberry, Keystone, Loyalhanna, Quemahoning
Anyone out fishing any of these lakes? Seeing much action? I am seeing things pick up at Arthur near the 528 bridge heading to shallows. Also, caught some on Senkos at Cranberry lake, but not that many hits. Anybody getting fish on jerkbaits like huskyjerks? Just pike on them at Quemahoning.

I agree with the Keystone Power Dam info. I just caught one of the biggest smallies of my life there on Sunday. 8 or 10 largemouth too. The Yough river should be on there instead of Susquehanna for smallies too.

Keystone Power Dam, Pennsylvania
Was out today (4-19). Pretty windy but did well. Caught 8 or 10 largemouth on Senkos. Most all of them were off of a tree or log. One monster smallmouth on a dropshot. Nothing off of the island toward the dam. Anyone had any luck on island yet? Most of my largemouth caught in murkier water on side opposite route 210.

New To Fishing, Hows My Current Setup??
12 lb seems a little big for plastics, maybe 8 for plastics? Ugly Stik may not have enough backbone for good hooksets topwaters. Definitely get yourself some baitcaster reels for any crankbaits, spinnerbaits, lipless cranks, swimbaits, and even larger topwaters. Research how to use one first or have someone teach you. Don't give up on it when frustrated, backlashes and birds nests will happen at first, but in long run, you will enjoy fishing with a baitcaster much more.

Stupid Decision Buying High End Rods/reels?
A Dodge Neon and a BMW will both get you cross country, which would you rather do it in?

Shimano Rods? Quality/sensitivity?
Thanks for all the suggestions about what rod my new Stradic Ci4+ will great look on. It is hard to deny that the Cumara or Zodias are the perfect match for it. I have never owned, or even researched for that matter, Shimano rods. I have always just viewed Shimano as a top of the line reel manufacturer, but never considered their rods. Can anyone speak to their quality/sensitivity? For the price of one, I could buy some other rods that I absolutely love and know are good rods. Also, I am not impressed that they only carry a one year warranty. Bottom line, I want a Zodias to pair with my Stradic because it looks so fantastic, but want to make sure I am getting a great rod for that much money.

Looking For Rod To Look Great With My Stradic Ci4+
Can anyone speak to the quality and sensitivity of Shimano rods? I have owned many of their reels, but never a rod. Just always viewed them as a quality reel manufacturer, but never considered buying one of their rods. I totally agree though, I looked at the Cumara and know it would be one sexy set-up.

Looking For Rod To Look Great With My Stradic Ci4+
I recently received the Shimano Stradic CI4+ that I ordered and put it on my Fenwich Elite Tech Smallmouth rod. While I love both the rod and the reel, they just don't look great together (yes, this matters to me). I am looking for a rod in the 150 dollar range that will look super hot with the black/red scheme of my stradic. Considering Powell Inferno, but not sure if it is too brownish/orangish at reel seat. Also, maybe an *** but want other suggestions. Conversely what reels does anyone have on their smallmouth elite techs that go good with the green?
