Wasn't positively sure where to put this so if it needs to be moved, very sorry for that inconvenience.
I've not really fished most of my life (outside the occasional trip with a borrowed pole, mostly just enjoying a few beers & relaxation, never really catching anything.)
Just starting to get into it and would like some advice on how to make the most out of what I have to work with when targeting bass. I have an Abu Garcia Black Max Baitcaster Combo I picked up, and an Ugly Stick G2 Spinning Rod, several Crankbaits(4) (Some deep, some shallow), a few top waters (Booyah Frog, Spinnerbait), and various Zoom Worms & Craws. I have currently 50lb Braid, 17lb Fluoro & 12lb Mono as far as line goes.
I'm really just looking for advice on how to best setup my 2 poles for optimal/flexible use. Being I only have 2 poles to take out with me I'd like to know what optimal line I should use on each. I want line that would be flexible enough for most bait types/condition scenarios.
Some background, it is Spring, we've had April showers pretty heavy, I primarily bank fish, not ALOT topwater cover, but definitely alot of sticks/trees to get stuck on from the places I fish (Aside from out on dock where its slightly deeper, but very grassy below.) Weather lately has been in 60's - 70's but pretty windy 3-4 days out of the week.
Any idea on how I should best rig? Just looking for a little bit of a push, as well as kinda pick brains on how to best think when approaching / strategizing line/rod/lure combo. Any help appreciated thanks!
