  1. Hey all. I have been fishing since I was a kid - but never delved into it seriously. I fish only on the lake where I go in the summers - a small lake (1x4 miles) in Ontario Canada. I like to troll fish. Gives me time to relax and see parts of the lake. My rod recently broke (had it for 15 years) - and I am interested in hearing some opinions on a good trolling rod. I dont NEED to it cast great, but not a bad option should I choose to expand my horizons. The lake has small mouth bass, walleye, musky, and a LOT of pike. I don't mind catching any of these fish - so a rod and tackle recommendation together would be great. Also if I should use weights on the line etc - I really know nothing! 2nd - my son is 3.5 years old, and I wanted to see if I could get him interested in fishing this summer. I would likley only be bobbing with worms for him to catch little rock bass etc. I would prefer he doesnt hook himself or ME in the process of learning - so I am curious to see what might be available since I was a kid. I would like to pick something up locally if possible, I have: Walmart, Gander Mountain, and a store called Runnings ( always want to call it cool runnings lol). Any tips are greatly appreciated!
