  1. Hey everyone back from bishop trip and overall the trout fishing was good, little did I know there were bass down in bishop so I stopped by a local sporting good store and asked why they were selling spinners and chatter baits and lures for bass, and one of the employees said they sure had bass, I was surprised, considering how cold it gets over there and how it's literally a tiny river super small. I made it a tradition to buy a lure to buy either a lure or something from out town stores just for memories and I'll always know which town it came from I guess, I don't know it's just me. So I bought a Rapala F-13 original floating in rainbow trout. Are these lures pretty impressive and how do you swim these? Will stripers hit these?
  2. Lol! Thank you! Maybe most preferred or comfortable swimbait you like tossing?
  3. The only location I have is shore for now :/ and timing usually early in the morning and sunset have worked best for me.
  4. What's up guys! Just thought I'd ask what's y'all everyday striper lure? I only have rat-traps as off right now but I haven't had to much luck, only here and there... Buts what a go to lure that you guys feel confident or what do the stripers usually care for? And what colors as well of that lure. Thank you have a nice day (:
  5. For the kastmasters, which size would you prefer? I'm fishing in a small stream/ ponds here and there when I head up to bishop. The water about 3-5 at most in areas of that... I was thinking 1/4 oz but I'm not sure. I hear trout are finicky and like certain things. I just wanna catch them but off lures not powerbait, that's my last option, but if they take it I'll use it I guess.
  6. Sounds good! Thank you (:, by any chance are you familiar with acme kastmaster spoons? I was considering those in a 1/4 oz , but I've never used them.
  7. Does anyone know a type of lure they've had good success in small lake/ stream trout fishing? I'm going up north and all there is are small intakes that turn into streams so I'll mostly be doing stream fishing. Rainbows, brown and brook trout are what I'm targeting.
  8. For sure! And thank you for helping me out with this, I guess all my time catching stripers were just stripers not hybrids. Thank you!
  9. Ohh okay okay I get you, I'm sorry man, I just thought from my understanding that broke. Lines always indicates hybrid.... But if that's so what makes a striper have broken lines as well?
  10. I'm not a genius on fishing but from my understanding stripers can still have broken up lines?
  11. Okay so broken lines isn't always an indicator of hybrids?
  12. I'd just thought I ask, what your guys preference for shallow shore fishing? Again for lake silverwood and all these lakes in the San Bernardino mountains I don't have a boat so I can only cast so far. Would football jigs or worms ( I'm not familiar with) crank baits I'd just like to know what works best. Also when the bass aren't biting but chasing every single time does that mean they're not interested and just protecting their territory or am I retrieving to fast? Every time I use my rattle trap the largemouth tend to chase but never bite. Any solutions on what to switch to in order to get they're interest?
  13. The ones we've caught here... Now maybe I'm not noticing they're the same and maybe because they're small? I've just never seen the ones posted above but all over YouTube I usually see that's how wipers look, could it be habitat and type of feeding or am I just not seeing the resemblance, but they do have different body types in my opinion and different attributes in some ways.
  14. This is from Google images, these are the ones I'm not familiar with
  15. How do I post a picture from a phone? iPhone to be specific
  16. Maybe because as they grow older and bigger they tend to gain that shape and form? It's just out of curiosity. Thank you
  17. Okay I know the difference between striped bass and hybrid stripers or wipers... I get that, but am I missing something here I haven't found really anything. I know solid and broken lines indicate the two but I've been noticing YouTube videos people catching hybrid stripers with the body of a white bass shape? Considering they're crossed I understand that. But here in California and the hybrid stripers I catch here don't have that body shape at all, they don't even look like they could be a hybrid but they are because of the broken up lines. Am I missing something here? Could it be region of where they're from that changes how they look? I don't get it
  18. I decided to buy my dad a Shakespeare Catch more fish trout pole, it wasn't expensive at all, but hey I'm trying to get my dad into fishing so we can go out more and spend time, what better thing to do then fish? It came with a tackle box setup. For beginners, but hey it's a start... You have yourself a good day (:
  19. I posted this before but I guess no one saw it or just ignored it I'm not sure either . I'm going camping up there for 4th of July weekend, I just want wanted to know between mammoth and bishop all those creeks are just trout? Rainbow and Browns are the only trout I know of up there because I've seen them. Are there any other fish species or different types of trout up there besides those two?
  20. I'm trying to take all your guys advice and learn off it, I feel like a fool now for the topic I put, it's not what I meant tho, I meant for advice not to explain that I want to have fun and relax I know it's earned and stuff, but I'm not lazy I assure you that I've been on the computer walking into places getting applications, jobs don't just walk to your door step, I just want the best after and move on to career goal. But still have my life not someone who just works and wakes up goes to work sleep then on to the next day... But sometimes I guess it's gotta be that way
  21. It's not so where I'm worried about my friends it's hard to explain, I should of reworded my topic better and I'm sorry for that, it's not that I'm feeling pressured to find a job it's more of letting my parents down I don't want to be that 18 year old asking for money, but at the same time I'm here applying and applying and nothing so far, I have a part time job but I can only do so much a week it doesn't help much, I want to peruse my goal of being a fish and game warden or work in some type of fish and game duty. But first I have to have money for college because financial aid does not help at all, at least in California it doesn't. I'm just pressured about all these things letting my family down because I have so much ahead of me but so far nothing.. Everyone probably thinks I'm lazy on here I'm not I try my best to apply each day for something new... It's hard to find a job now of days they just don't walk up to your door step...
  22. either way you look at it lebron didn't win finals or finals mvp his numbers were useless
  23. Lebron can't simply do it simple as that.
  24. The whole lineup consisted of Lebron James Lebron James Lebron James Lebron James Lebron James, If he rooms them to game 6 he sure could of taken them all the way, they won 2 , lebron could of pulled thru 2 more.
  25. Don't bother me.... Cleveland is a sorry city when it comes to sports.
