Micro Rods?
Hey everyone, I just have a quick question because my friend happened to bring the littlest dandiest fishing pole I've ever seen, it's an ugly stik micro rod or something, it was like 3-4 ft in length and it was so cool because he said he likes the fight. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing to find these type of poles? I know it's not ideal for bass fishing but we saw a couple bass swimming in this creek and instead of just pulling out his bass rod he literally just reached out of the water bottle pocket of his back pack and boom there he was fishing a roboworm. I know these poles aren't ideal maybe I haven't seen them enough? Anyone know where to find these little poles because I want it as my ultra light pole/ emergency pole of some sort where I can just fish real quick. If anyone knows a good combo ready to go but is still pretty durable please let me know, preferably that ugly stik? I forgot to ask the name of it. Have a great day! (:

Buck Tails?
I just went to bass pro shops today and bought a white Holographic buck tail, the stripers go crazy on them over here at silverwood so I decided to buy one, the problem is, that it's a 1oz and my pole is 1/4-3/4 oz weight, I don't have a pole that can support that... Could I use the buck tail for my pole because I really want to give it a shot but but doesn't want to have to buy a pole just for one lure, it was my fault for buying it 1oz but that's all they had left. My pole is an Ugly stik elite mH baitcasting

P-Line Or Hi-Seas Grand Slam?
No I know what you're talking about, I walk down and fish three but I'm talking the about the other side where the spillway is and the water books fence, that's all fenced off because that little power plant plant below, so by shore fishin it's pretty hard to fish right there and no way I'm trying to get in trouble aha.

P-Line Or Hi-Seas Grand Slam?
I know I've heard of big striped bass there ! It gets me excited aha because sometimes o fish for those but since I have no boat it's pretty much illegal for me to fish the spill way with all the fencing ):

P-Line Or Hi-Seas Grand Slam?
Hello everyone, I usually like to stock up on fishing line because A) I tend to just suck at casting and backlash from time to time and for some reason no matter what I do they're knots at the way bottom?? Or I let my friends fish with me I'll let them borrow my pole and they do the same which I don't mind I love relaxing and talking with friends while fishing. Bottom line is I use it of fishing line, and I don't have money to just throw on braid and fluorocarbon, I just use mono, but I got introduced to Fluoro coated line? Thoughts on it because it just want to know if it's just like mono or it actually works pretty good and I've came along p-line and high seas Fluoro coated line, thoughts on those if you e used them and if you know other lines for the price of those which vary from store no more then 5-10 bucks let me know please.

Right Setup For The Right Rod?
Thank you guys so much I appreciate you giving me tips and such, I'll make sure to use the right set up and invest in another rod... I was actually going to get the duckett ghost but I thought a rookie like me doesn't need one yet, but thank you all!

Right Setup For The Right Rod?
- Right Setup For The Right Rod?
First off let me start by saying I have an ugly stik Elite casting rod MH lure weight of 1/4-3/4. I know they're not the most sensitive rods but for the price it was affordable in my range.... What I'm looking for is the brutal honest opinion of what I should be and should be using. All I use are rat-l-traps and some football jigs because that's all I have... But when I put the 3/4 football jig with a paca chunk it seemed wayyy to heavy, I fish from the shore so I'm not going out to far in deep water. Could someone just give me the straight up opinion of what I should be using for the rod I bought because I'm slightly confused and I just really want to do everything right, I would greatly appreciate it.- New From Hesperia, Ca
Hello everyone my name is Bryce from hesperia,CA if any of you have driven from down the hill to Las Vegas you've passed by. ( saying because the fact I live in a desert basically) I just started fishing about a year ago and now I'm what could say hooked on it? I love it! I treasure it bceusse I live in a hot desert so it's fun to fish while I can. The nearest lakes are in San Bernardino mountains. Big bear lake, arrowhead lake, lake gregorey, and silverwood my favorite of most. I'm glad I found this because I finally have people to talk to and understand my situation, I actually found this site watching YouTube I hope to get advice because it's much needed for me I'm not good at fishing so anything helps, I don't know all the tips and tricks to fishing so I'm stoked to read! Well, you all have a good day and God bless and fish on! - Right Setup For The Right Rod?
