Hello all. I'll be taking a fishing trip to Wilson Lake and lake Pickwick at the end of July. Ive never fished for SM being from central Illinois. I'm going in hope of fishing for LM, SM,and striped. I am going blinded pretty much. I'm trying to do my research on SM and their preferred bait choice. What is the water like down there? What are the best lures for all the bass options? Best to fish deep or shallow? Favorite deep water bait. I have a ton of lures and soft baits. What are the go to colors for the water there? Any advice would be awesome!! I'll be staying in Killen on the water, I believe on shoal creek near the disabled veterans bridge from what I understand. Thanks!!

Hello all! Its a nice little spot Ive stumbled upon during some research. Hope to meet some new anglers near or far! I love bass fishing and do it several times a week. Can't get enough! I'm on a mission for that trophy bass of course lol.

Im in search of a good fishing location near Chicago. Not really in the city. I'm staying in schamburg area this weekend. Any advice? lake or pond? Thanks
