  1. I found a charity tournament for Saturday on the Black water river in Franklin VA. The entry is $40 a boat and proceeds to go help fund special Olympics. They are giving trophies and gift cards for the top 3 and also a raffle for a BPS extreme.
  2. I was wondering if anyone has information on bass tournaments on the Chick lake/river or within the vicinity for this weekend? I know FLW is hosting one in Richmond but the entry fee is over $200. Ed Allen's is solid but they are not hosting one this week. Any information would be much appreciated.
  3. Launched out of Ed Allen's Saturday morning and boated 8 bass. 5 were keepers and the big fish of the day was just over 3lbs. They were destroying black swim baits in the back Lacey creek. I also caught a ton of bowfin an pickerel on a KVD crank bait. (I stopped counting after 10) Then, around 2 pm the lightning became a real concern so we decided to call it a day.
  4. I was trying to find a contour map to help with finding ledges but I don't think it exist. Does anyone know where I can find some submerged structure? (ledges, brush piles etc) Also, how close are you allowed to fish at the dam and has anyone had luck fishing it?
  5. Someone please key me in on some spots to catch some bass. I've fished the chick twice now and have come up dry both times. If you don't want to post it on the forum send me a PM. I'm not a tx fisherman so I won't be competing against you. I know there are several natives on this forum who must know of some structure or something to help me boat a bass. Very much appreciated and advice will go a long way seeing as I have yet to catch a fish lol
