  1. Hey everybody! Thanks! Been a busy weekend so I didn't get a chance to get out to the lake, but I plan on hitting it this week. Maybe doing a little "working from home"
  2. Hey everybody, I typically slay largemouth bass with a rubber shad, but the lake behind my new place has pretty dense plant life in it and I keep just bringing in loads of seaweed along with my lure. Any suggestions I can use to avoid that? I hide the hook in the shad, but even the head of the hook itself is snagging plants. Recommendations on some top water lures to try as it's been a while since I used one? Maybe I'll go that route. Thanks!
  3. Hey everybody, this forum came up while searching for fishing information on Lake Carlton, so I figured I'd join. I just moved to Lake Carlton Arms in Lutz, FL and from what I understand there are decent size bass to catch here. I'm original from New Jersey and learned how to bass fish when I was like 8 years old. I typically only like to fish freshwater and normally just go after bass or catfish (delicious!). Anybody else fish the lake here? I saw there were quite a few members on the forum from Florida. In addition to fishing I am a full time computer engineer and also play in a couple of rock bands around Tampa. I'm a motorcycle enthusiast, audiophile, and enjoy repairing old tube amplifiers. Well, off to the forums to get some tips on fishing this lake. I'm sure it'll be nice meeting some of you.
