That can be a problem, ceiling fans are the worst menace ever invented to destroy a fishing rod. well other than a careless partner.

I'm far from an expert,but since you're near an A.S. I would suggest an Allstar AST series about what you want to spend,or for $30 more a Ducket ghost would work.You could also try out a bunch since A.S is near,but I'm usually overwhelmed by the shear numbers of fishing rods to choose from .Good luck with your search. I'm glad I found this site I used to bass fish quite a bit but slowed down the last few years because of health issues,but doing better,and getting some new equipment.I can see there's a lot of knowledgeable people here,and I have already learned from reading the different forums.I'm sure I'm older than most members here,but like everyone else I really enjoy bass fishing,and fishing in general. I'm disabled,and use a wheelchair,but have been fishing several times this year thanks to my sons,I used to be able to lift myself in my boat,but now need a little asistance.I look forward to learning more so maybe I can catch a few.
