I'm looking to get a new setup and I was originally looking at the dobyns savvy 766 and pairing that with the lews super duty reel. But I just came across the gloomis e6x series and wondered if it would be better than the dobyns. For me I want the lightest gear without losing too much power for this price range. So I wasn't sure if anyone on here had fished either of these rods. Now when it comes to a reel I also discovered the 13 *** and C reels from one of my friends. I love it, it is so lightweight and smooth and I'm going to get one for my jigging and plastics rod. But my main concern is the durability of the reel. I'm going to be using heavy braid (60lb) and I don't know if the 13 reels can handle it. I know the super duty can because that's what's it's made for but the super duty reels are on the heavier side at 8 oz. The reason I'm so sceptical is because I had braid destroy my drag on my Abu Garcia revo SX and I don't want the same to happen if I get the 13 reel. Would love any opinions and suggestions. Thanks
