  1. well those are some darn good reviews! thanks guys...you talked me into it, i just ordered one in the 7:3.1 for my froggin rod. cant wait to try it out!
  2. i have been to a LOT of concerts but id say my favorite one was in 1991, "the clash of the titans" it was megadeth ,slayer, and anthrax. i was young and the only thing i cared about was having a good time...and man did i ever!
  3. i used to always fish and hunt with my dad, since he has been gone (since 2011) im pretty much a loner.
  4. i am fishing hard because i know my break is coming. dove season starts on sept 1st and i will be done fishing for the year for the most part, right after dove season then deer season starts and that is my REAL passion in life. but yeah, i even have to take a break from deer hunting sometimes, if i have been going every morning and evening and not seeing anything to shoot, it starts to become more like work and less like fun. i am real hardcore, i used to quit my job every year on oct 1st till deer season was over in january then find a new crappy job till next deer season, now i have my own business and hunt and fish ANY day i feel the need, which is darn near every day.
  5. myself, i like to get as deep in the weeds and lilly pads as i can and throw frogs, thats where other fisherman dont/cant go and where i catch the hogs, you cant get back there with a motor of any kind. i use my oars (pull motor out of the water) when i hit the thick stuff. i have heard push poles are real nice too but have never used one.
  6. i am a lefty and the only thing i buy right handed is reels..haha.
  7. i have been thinking about getting a tatula for a while now. do you guys that use them like them a lot? does that weird flip up line guide REALLY increase casting distance by a lot? would you buy another tatula or a shimano if you needed another reel? i heard that they are very large so i drove over to bps and handled one on the rack, the size is fine with me, but i also like the shimano citica 200D's, ill take overbuilt any day over small, light and under-built, i fish a lot of heavy cover and if i drag in a 5 or 6lb bass i usually have about 10 pounds of weeds along with it
  8. not a bad night 8/3, i got 6 LMB and one dog fish in about 2.5 hours, are you suppose to kill dog fish? i think i heard you are.
  9. so tonight i went out again, same conditions, same lures (also threw everything at'em), same time and no bass....lol. strange creatures they are. right at dark i started throwing a little panfish jig and got 1 crappie and 1 rock bass...just cuz i didnt want to get skunked.
  10. a few pics from last night, hopefully tonight will be good again.
  11. had some real good action tonight caught i think it was 8 bass in about 2 hours, biggest around 20" smallest about 14". i did stay busy this evening. best time fishing i have had yet this year. i wonder if tonight was hot for everyone or just me? i would post some pics if i could figure out how. Thanks, Dennis
  12. This was a good evening, i finally got some top water action, i caught about 8 LMB in about 2 hours. biggest was 20" smallest was about 14. cant figure out how to post pics on this site yet.
  13. personally i would only get a single cam bow, though some people prefer 2 cam bows, but the fact really cant be argued that single cam bows are easier to tune and maintain, even if your cam goes out of sync on a one cam bow it will still shoot straight, it may loose a few FPS but you might not even notice the little speed loss. if the string or cables stretch on a 2 cam bow even a little your arrow will porpoise and you will have major accuracy and penetration problems. if you are looking for a bow you should check out archerytalk.com. its my second home lol. there are people selling bows in the classified and people post new ones every day, i have bought and sold MANY bows on there (i think i got like 90+ feedbacks on there) and its a really good group of people.
  14. that is exactly how i feel about spinning reels. i would take a spincasting reel over a spinning reel any day... and i do. i usually have 4 baitcasters and one spincasting rig (for smaller lures) on my boat.
  15. i'll take a hollow body frog for pulling over lilly pads and use it during the last couple hours of day light,
  16. please shoot an old onedia before you buy one, i bet you wont want one after you shoot one. i owned one back in the 90's, it wasnt a very good bow at all. it was slow and LOUD and high maintenance. i did kill some deer with it but was glad to get rid of it and get a better bow.
  17. i would recommend a used mathews solo cam bow. i have had probably 20 new bows over the last 10 years and am back to shooting a mathews MQ1 that was made in 2002, nothing else shoots as good for me and is as easy to maintain, the older mathews bows are just plain and simple deer killing machines.
  18. dang, that is something to think about! i have been pretty brave and lucky i guess when grabbing LMB by he mouth. i will be more careful when i think about what happened to you.
  19. i fish just about every evening and it has been good for me so far, infact its almost time to break out the rubber frogs and have some real fun (my favorite kind of fishing)!
  20. it would be bad, i would much rather catch them than eat them (i let them all go.. even crappies ). i usually go catch a bunch of fish and stop on the way home and get an Italian beef and fries.
