  1. Where Do You Mount Your Jonboat Seat?

    I've been reading the posts about mounting a swivel seat in a jonboat. Very helpful. But one question doesn't seem to be answered: Where (along the bench) should I put the seat? Right now, I sit off-set to the left (portside) to run my transom mount trolling motor. I will likely be adding a small gas motor soon. The trolling motor is off-set to the right. If I want to center the gas motor (or the electric) where should I mount the seat? I am assuming that it will be different than just sitting on the bench when it comes to operating a motor, right? Or am I just over-thinking this?
