Thanks for the advice. I'm throwing both 6 and 8 inch huddleston in rainbow trout and juvenile trout. I through the six at henry hagg where there is a trout plant and a few state record smallmouth habe been caught there. I also have two glide bauts which I have not thrown yet, but they are about six inches in colors that are close to a stocker trout. I am fishing from a boat. I think I will be going out to hagg soon after the trout plants and throw the hudds and maybe glide baits.
I am new to throwing big bait and have a couple hudds and glide baits. I've had a few followers, but none would take it. I've mainly fished henry hagg and I went to camanche resivoir in california. Is there anything I can change or different lakes.
Thanks matt
i mant spinning not casting, and i would use it for dropshot. i did have a medium light for a while, but it was a little light for me, so i prefer the medium for dropshotting.
If I'm fishing thick hydrilla or milfoil mats I'll fish 65 pound power pro, but if I'm fishing around tules or sparse vegetation I'll go with 17-20 pound flouro carbon. Rods would both be duckett micro magic pro. 7'6" heavy for sparse vegetation and 7'10" extra heavy.
I was looking at the duckett terex 7' M or the magic pro 7' M there is only a ten dollar price difference and was wondering if o e was better than the other. The micro magic pro does have the new microwave guide system and was wondering if that actually improves casting range. both would be spinning.
