Thanks again for the reply! One last question. Do I need to power both units from the battery individually or can I power the 899 and it will power the 859 through the ethernet port? Thanks, Jason

Hi, New to boat ownership and electronics so I apologize in advance for the possibly noob questions. I am planning on purchasing the forthcoming Humminbird Helix 7 SI GPS. I was wondering if I would be able to plug two of those units together via the HB ethernet cable and share one transducer. If so would I be able to get a SI capable transducer and have one unit side image capable and one not side image capable on the same transducer. Thanks!
