Where is your favorite type of spot (Shade, open water, pads, scum, ect.) And go to lure to catch the big bass?

The only problem with this is that the nearest bass pro is like 3 hours away... i bought the rod and reel combo on vacation

It casts decently well.. Say I'm just holding it and I push down on the button, it won't fall until I shake it some whereas I was told that it should slowly fall by itself if it was adjusted right..

Bass Pro Shops tourney special.. This could be a possibility.. What would i do to fix this and/or prevent it.

I've tried all kinds of different bait.. It has another knob that controls the breaking system ranging from 1-7.. The guy who sold it to me said to keep it on 7 as i was still learning to throw a baitcaster.

So i got my first baitcaster about 3 week ago and the guy that sold it to me told me that if it was adjusted right then the bait you have on would slowly fall to the ground without crashing down and causing backlash.. Theres one problem... My bait doesn't fall at all no matter how much i loosen the tension knob.. Anyone know thy this is happening ? Or what i could try to fix it?

I have a few questions about chatterbait fishing.. 1) What is the best way to fish a chatterbait? ( drag on the bottom? burn it on top?) 2) What are the best (or your favorite) trailers to use... or do you have success without one at all? 3) Do you fish it any different based on what trailer you have? Any and all help is appreciated!
