Im in oklahoma, i have a lifetime hunting and fishing license which allows me six deer tags. Only two deer can be antlered meaning anything more than 3 inch spikes. I shot three deer last year a button buck a 5 point and a doe. I missed two does and an nice 8 pt the first week because I didn't check my bow and scope was off. But I prefer does or younger bucks because thats my meat for the year.

Ive found that waving a firearm in their general direction gets better manners out of them... j/k but some days i wish. Most of the time i just tell them theyre number one and move to a different spot.

ok, does anybody volunteer to assist with the Paralyzed Vets of America tourney. I have in the past but work and being a single dad prevented my volunteering in recent years. I spoke with the chairman, a paralyzed vet himself, and they are in need of boat captains, and other assistance. Its a good deal, they pay for hotels, boat captains participate in one day of the tourney with the vet, the second day is just vet, they also have a banquet. ok, im kinda of new to this style of fishing. I started fly fishing around 1988, was die hard fly fisherman until this year when the copious rain made fly fishing for any species impossible. I bought a left handed bait casting outfit in June. I have had some luck with it, but still trying to figure out what baits to use on what days and whether or not i should get a spinning outfit. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I have had luck in smaller waters outside the okc area, but have decided not to continue with OKC fishing permits. I've been fishing Lexington wma a lot late july early aug and its been fairly consistant early in the am, sun up until about 10 am, several 4 lb fish with senkos. Went back last week and Dahlgren is drawn down again for the scheduled upgrades, but other smaller water in the wma is still fishing well.
