Do you think I should use power pro or is ther a better brand

Hi my name is Luke and I have the Abu Garcia black max and I was wondering If I should use mono or braid. I have been using mono 8# line and it's been awesome not very many backlashes and casting far. But have been thinking of switching to braid but i don't know what pound line I should get and how thick of braid. I also don't know if braid backlashes more and is it harder to get out then mono. I mostly use chatterbaits and spinners and want to know with braid am I able to cast farther than mono. All you're answers will be greatly helpful thanks

Hi my name is Luke and I have a relatively new Baitcaster the Abu Garcia black max and it's working really well. But my only problem is that my line keeps snapping off I'm using 8pound mono and the lure I'm using is a chatterbait 3/8 ounces. The problem may be that my last guide is like bent and it's jagged so I think that makes the line thiner and thiner. Also it makes sounds when I reel my line back in. I can return the one I have and get new black max but I'm afraid that the same problem will happen. If anyone could help me out that would be awesome
