Hurricane Season has Arrived
Hurricane Florence is a Category 4 Hurricane at this moment in time. This would be a good time to buy needed items for those in the Mid Eastern states.

So I just landed in Denver...
Good report @Turkey sandwich, thank you for posting it.

preventing cabin fever
It was almost 90 degrees this weekend where I was fishing and it does not look like it will drop below 60 degrees anytime soon.

Do Peacocks Count??
Welcome to the forum. Largemouth bass are not true bass (striped bass, hybrid striper, white bass, etc) either so peacock bass definitely count in this forum. That is a nice speckled peacock bass you caught in South America.I caught a 23.125 inch butterfly peacock bass recently in South Florida that fought harder than any 10 pound or better largemouth bass I have caught so I agree with you that peacock bass are pound for pound stronger than black bass. Have caught peacock bass bigger than this one and I am planning to go to South America to fish for speckled peacock bass.

Hurricane Season has Arrived
Might be a good idea to go saltwater fishing a couple days before the bad weather hits the land since the low pressure often helps the fishing.I caught a 31.5 inch keeper snook yesterday and the whole area I was fishing in was packed with people. It rained thoughout the day today and I am sure we will get some rough seas if this next hurricane comes close to Florida.

Poppers
Thank you @ChrisD46, I will consider the River to Sea Bubble Walker as well. I am very fond of topwater fishing so I tend to buy lots of topwater lures, even if I don't use them all.

Hurricane Season has Arrived
There was heavy rains with +30mph wind gust yesterday where I live in South Florida but I saw no damage caused by Tropical Storm Gordon. Went fishing in the late afternoon when most of the rain stopped and caught lots of fish. Today is a beautiful day and you cannot even tell a Tropical Depression passed by. Looks like Tropical storm Gordon upgraded to Hurricane Gordon and is headed for Louisiana. Hopefully it gets weaker or changes course since Louisiana cannot take another vicious beat down from any more hurricanes or extreme weather that causes massive flooding.

Poppers
Thank you @A-Jay and others that suggested the Megabass Pop Max, I will consider getting it. Plan on going up north later this year for more smallies and muskies. It looks like it would be a good peacock bass lure which is a fish I love to catch on topwaters.

Would you/could you fish in reclaimed water?
I will fish any body of water that has a healthy population of big bass.

flordia in mid march
It is not certain if the red tide in SouthWest Florida will be gone by March and there have been cases of red tide lasting as long as 30 months (one red tide event lasted 30 months and it started in 1994). This has been the worst red tide SouthWest Florida has had in over a decade and it is not known at this moment how bad the fishing will be affected for next March. Many people are being affected health wise by the red tide since it can cause breathing difficulties.Red tide also contains domoic acid which is toxin found in red tide so it is not even safe to eat fish poisoned by red tide.Everything I mentioned can be researched online, including several pictures of beaches filled with dead fish, dolphin (at least 41 dolphins died from red tide this year),etc. You will most likely be better off going to SouthEast Florida and the Florida Keys where the fishing is great year round and has not been affected by the red tide. Hopefully we get a hurricane, tropical depression, etc to pass by SouthWest Florida so it can break up the red tide and move it away from SouthWest Florida.

So I just landed in Denver...
Sounds like you are going to have a fun vacation in a beautiful area. I have fished for trout and have caught rainbow, palomino, and brown trout while on vacation and would consider traveling for them again.
- How to catch bigger bass?

Other tackle store besides TW
Have bought lots of lures from Ebay and Amazon, especially lures that are hard to find in the local tackle shops by my house. Most of the time I get the lures at a lower price than shopping in the local tackle shops with free shipping. Have bought other fishing gear from other countries and so far I am happy with my purchases.

Love / Hate High Vis Yellow Braid
I do not like fishing with yellow braid but my little cousin does and he catches bass that will make most bass fishermen envious. He lives in Central Florida where a bass under 6 is nothing special and he has caught a bunch of trophy bass on yellow braid. I have taken him fishing in clear South Florida lakes for largemouth and peacock bass and he has done well.Other people fish with white braid and say it is the best braid for them. Have caught quality bass on orange braid so I feel that having confidence in the way you fish is far more important than what color line you use.

Just when you think you have it figured out...
You are very fortunate to live so close to the Stick Marsh which is one of the best trophy bass fisheries in the state of Florida. I am in Miami Dade County so the Stick Marsh is a far drive but I plan on visiting it in the future.
