  1. If anybody can consistently pull 30 -40 Bass a day they should be on tour. But as was written earlier that is just somebodys best outing ever. An aveage of 3-6 in a day is a darn good day. I THINK ALL OF US WOULD AGREE EVEN IF YOU GET SKUNKED, AT LEAST YOU WENT FISHING.
  2. Bill Dance and Hank Parker.....all of the names I read so far have their merit too....good question though..
  3. We all have our preference it comes down to 6 of one a half dozen of the other..if you've fished your lake or spot for a while you have an idea of the make-up and wether or not c&r is good or bad for that particular spot. But honestly it's personal preference..I prefer C&r but that's only cause I don't eat any fish...unless it's in a yellow box L J S baby....but yeah I've had buddies out with me before and they want to keep the legal ones so what can you do? roll with the punches and have a blast either way! Have fun doin your thing and the rest is gravy.........
  4. Cool I'll check it out..that's just up the road a bit.
  5. Man this site is awsome tons of advice from guy's that have been there, now I can tell my wife I'm not the only one this has happened to. Really guy's thanks for taking time to respond to this, and I know for sure this won't be the last time I ask for your alls opinion. That is what's so great about this sport, everybody is willing to help the next guy out with advice or anything else.Good luck to all of you on your next outings! If you catch a trophy today put him back and you're giving somebody else the chance to get hooked!
  6. Thanks to all of you for your advice. I think the main problem is I'm a little skiddish about opening it up to see just what it can do. I've always fished off a boat but never really a true "bass boat'. Always walleye boats or ski combos. I guess I never realized how low these things actually sit in the water. My dad always said" have a healthy dose of respect for your boat and an unhealthy dose of fear of the unknown and you'll be fine". hey thanks again guys I realize this sounds crazy but I just want to be sure I.m being safe and knowledgable. Thanks again.
  7. Thanks for the advice....I have an '02 Nitro 700lx dual console 75 hp Tracker.. it looks really good and does the job. We bought it from my inlaws in '03. My Father in law bought it to fish a tournament in Texas, fished it a couple more times and parked it. So they sold it to me with about 30 hours of use on it tops. I got tired of fishing the backseat and this was a nice step up from the '78 Sea nymph aluminum v bottom.
  8. found a couple of rocks in the cove the other day. I replaced my prop with the stock one that came on the boat. can I repair the steel prop with a dolly and hammer or should I consider lesson learned? I know it sounds lame but I am still getting used to the differences between the old sea nymph v bottom and the Nitro.
  9. Thanks guys. Another quick question, when I'm actually on the throttle where is the correct trim position supposed to be I have heard different things from different people. I want to be on a safe plane any help would be appreciated.
