Yup, 6.x:1 used to be my go to gear but for the last 3 year, I went with 7.x:1 You can always slower or retrieval (if needed).

If U can get a hold of the older TE GT version, it will blow the D version away by miles. I even prefer B version over D version (think of Curado E vs Curado I).
