I'm curious in rod cost. Does foam handle cost more then cork handle?

I'd have to agree. It doesn't really matter where it's made. It all has to do with components and quality control. There was a time when Japanese cars were junk. There was also a time American cars were junk. It's all stereo type and after several time you use something from some where and find out it's junk then everything is junk from the same place. My original question was to ask the option and popularity as to what makers are there.

So which are the major brands for Japanese rods from Japan?
