  1. Well it been 5 weeks since I have started the purchase of my 2016 Nitro Z18, and I'm still waiting... Problems: well they forgot to order the brackets for the power poles, then they told me about having to move the stern eyes (fiber glass repair needed), then there has been a re-call alert on the trailer (for the brakes).... Yea, still waiting... And I'm not very happy, missing tournaments each week... Waiting for a call from Bass Pro Shop for a status today, and none not one call today... I'm starting to think I have made a major mistake, but they have my money already... with options (upgraded the fish finders 2 power poles, a center seat, jack plate, installation cost.... Total 41,851.76, could have gotten a Ranger (maybe a small Ranger)... or other brand, at least I'd be fishing...

  3. You are correct as of last month and after constant calling to Nitro directly, they have offered a solution. Just as you said you have to add a jack plate first and the brackets are special order for the power poles. I wanted to buy this boat at the beginning of the summer and was told by other that I'd void the warranty (some said otherwise)... Well I just bought a 2016 Z18 from Bass Pro Shop with two power poles, and Nitro wants all who want power poles installed to sign a wavier. It should not void the warranty, but I have yet to see this document to review (waiting on those brackets to arrive)... I did talk to a person at Bass Pro Shop that will be out-fitting my boat just to find out about the effects of adding power poles. I'm told that a customer called back in February (that had the power poles installed) was complaining about getting up on plane, slower performance on hole-shots... I'm hoping that since I have opted to get the 175 HP Merc (other than the 150HP) that I will have fewer problems as they did... So I guess we'll see how thing work out, sure is a lot of money spent to find out , but oh well... other boats just had to high a price tag for me... Anyone have any comments on maybe installing a Atlas Hydraulic Jack Plate instead of the Manual Jack Plate. Do you think that would be a better option? Thinking about doing this next season... Or might add a little weight to the bow to help get to plane quicker... Of course I will update everyone on the progress and performance once I have the boat in-hand and on the water... Thank you isbass8 for your reply...
  4. This is just crazy about the power poles on a Nitro Z18, I see that on MLF they are using the Nitro Z18 with Power Poles. So they are voiding the warranty??? I really like the Nitro Boats, but I'm thinking of looking at a Ranger. Having Power Poles is a must for me, I can't see myself in a tournament without them...
  5. I just talked to my dealer at Bass Pro Shop and they said that they don't advise installing a power pole. I asked for another option and they suggested a micro pole, which is too small... Now I would think if you'd install the jack plate that you could install a power pole but it will void the warranty... So why should I buy a 31000.00 boat and not install a power pole???? Nitro please explain....
