Maine fishing can be very satisfying -- lots of smaller bodies of water filled with aggressive bass and little pressure.

I like the Rapala Rippin' Raps -- you can cast them a mile, great vibration because of a cup-like shaped nose. I've caught largemouth with it on the Connecticut River w/ 42 degree water temps. The Seblie Flatt Shad is good too, a bit more expensive.

Overall #'s were average for me here in Connecticut, better in the Spring, much less in the Fall. I did get my PB smallmouth on December 6th, usually I quit fishing by then, but we had the warmest December on record here.
