  1. We fished a team tournament in Ohio this year in early spring. 100 boats,$200.00 entry fee. The average fish that were weighed in were 5 bass/ 6lbs total, tops. The winners had 5 bass 18+lbs. They won over $6000.00. I have been fishing Ohio tournaments for over 40 years and unless you are fishing on Lake Erie, which it was not, I have never seen a 5 bass limit of 15lbs let alone 18+. There were two complaints on the winners but nothing ever came of them. We no longer fish that circuit. Cheating definately goes on when money is involved and there is no off limits on the water prior to the tournament. :'(
  2. :-?I plan to fish a tournament on the Ohio River next week. We launch out of Tanners Creek Marina. I have never fished this pool and any help for this time of year would be greatly appreciated. Has any particular lure been the hot ticket or is it still spinnerbaits, cranks and jigs? : We plan to fish on Friday to try and locate some fish by doing the normal ( current breaks, creek mouths, sloughs, etc. ) Does any one know if there are smallies and spots in this pool? We want to finish off the year with this last tournament . Thanks in advance for the info. Grubby
