The Joker Rig!!
Looks great. I've always been intrigued with "umbrella" type rigs. Unfortunately, here in Michigan, thay're not legal. Falcon

Leg Surgery
Due to an auto accident I have titanium cages, and rods in my lumbar spine, and a titanium plate in my cervical area. As has been mentioned arthritis does become a problem. Cold damp weather, and drastic barametric changes are my biggest problem. Hope your surgery goes well. Falcon P.S. My doctor has given me a card stating I have "appliances", for our friends at TSA.

Ultralite & Flyrod Crankbaits
John's little crankbaits are real fish catchers. Right after ice-out I caught my first couple limits on one. The bass in my canal loved them. Falcon

Wooden Cranks
Marty, and John Mills make some of the finest wooden crankbaits I've ever used. I have fooled MANY St. Clair largemouth, and smallmouth with them. Jack, if you found some baits for $13-$15, you found a real bargain. Falcon

Do It Yourself, Is It Really Worth It?
Catch one fish on a bait you created, and it's all worth it. Most of us that make our own baits don't do it for profit, or to save money. The winter here in Michigan is cold and BORING. I make baits for "Mental Therapy" more than anthing else. Falcon
