In my opinion, if you want to catch alot of smallies, and big smallies, fish St. Clair in late May, through June. Rusty, I have to agree with Jack. August is my least productive month. Falcon

You can't beat a jerkbait, but don't rule out a spinnerbait. I catch ALOT of smallies with a spinnerbait in early Spring. Falcon

I've had NUMEROUS problems with Eagle Claw hooks. Back in my walleye days, I used to always use their hooks for crawler harnesses.........never again. Too many rejects. Falcon

I agree with iceintheveins, the Thunderstick is in a different ballpark. The Husky Jerk, and X-Raps are a much better choice. Another choice is the Bomber Long A. They've put ALOT of bass in my livewell. Falcon
