Thanks for posting, I hope to go out this week near my Pines house in my kayak. Usually catch a few, but the big ones, 4+ are elusive. May try deep like you said. I put a depth finder on the yak and some of those lakes are 25-30 ft deep in spots. Usually catch them on the ledges or near the pads. I'll post later this week.
