I spanked 5 stripers a couple years ago from the shore near the Rock House Marina. All were between 17 and 22 pounds.

Just to clarify the pollution problem, I was told it is caused from a combination of runoff and a nearby chicken farm. That deterred me from fishing there when I lived there. I took up Bone fishing with a fly rod instead.

Newbie here. David from NM. I fish a couple lakes here consistently. Sumner, Conchas and Elephant Butte. Can't wait to get back on the water.

Greetings all. 1st post. I am selling my 14' fishing boat with 6 horse Johnson (put a lot of fish in that boat over the years) and upgrading to a 96 Grumman 17' aluminum Outlaw. It has a 70 horse Merc on it and set up to fish. Got a heckuva deal on it. Previous owner kept it in the garage and in great shape. Fish finder, live wells, trolling motor, rodholders etc. Can anyone tell me about what I can expect from this boat? Ride, dependability, maintaining etc? I won't be able to put it on the water for about a month. Thanks in advance.
